Rachel Wainwright-van Kessel | Director, Finance,Treasurer | Town of Aurora | Rachel Wainwright-van Kessel is a CPA, CMA with 15 years of municipal finance experience including 10 years York Region and the most recent five years as the Director, Finance and Treasurer for the Town of Aurora.
Rachel began her journey in multi-year budgeting at York Region, in 2012 working with the Office of the Budget to develop the Region’s first two-year multi-year budget for 2013 to 2014 as the Manager, Budget Coordination. She was also involved in the development of the next two four-year Council term budgets for 2015 to 2019 and 2019 to 2022. In her role she was responsible for the coordination of the budget process, development and redesign of the budget book and the budget system from design through to administration.
In 2019, Rachel joined the Town of Aurora as the Director, Finance and Treasurer. During the past five years she has worked with her team to implement multi-year budgeting, improve capital fiscal analysis, implement a new budget system and redesign of the budget binder which significantly improved the readability of the Town’s budget. | RachelWvK.jpg |
