| Tariq Sattar | Senior Manager | KPMG LLP | Tariq Sattar is a senior manager in Accounting Advisory Services and Assurance at KPMG. His focus areas include Public Sector Accounting Standards and Accounting Standards for Private Enterprise. Tariq’s recent experience includes extensive work with municipalities across Canada on implementation PS 3280 Asset Retirement Obligations. Most recently, Tariq was involved in drafting a PS3280 implementation guide for the Municipal Financial Officers Association (MFOA) and its members to serve as a resource for municipalities adopting the new standard. Further, over the last two years Tariq has led the implementation of PS3280 for range of different organizations, including municipalities, a government department, a territorial government, hospitals, and post-secondary education institutions.
Tariq’s current projects include work with PS 3400 Revenue and PS 3160 Public Private Partnerships among others, along with over a decade of accounting experience. In addition to municipalities, his other work experience includes audit and accounting advisory work with not for profit organizations, hospital and hospital support services, government organizations, and territorial governments. | TariqSattar.jpg |
