Pre Conference Annual and Special Meeting Info Session
Organizations have until October 2024 to comply with Ontario Not-For-Profit Act, 2010 (ONCA) which will necessitate changes to MFOA’s Letters of Patent and By-laws.

Plan to attend this information webinar which will outline the proposed changes to MFOA’s Letters Patent (Articles of Amendment) and Operating By-law. Staff will provide details on all proposed changes and be available for a question-and-answer period. These changes will be presented to the membership for “confirmation” at the MFOA’s Annual and Special Meeting being held on Thursday, September 19, 2024.

Highlights of changes include but are not limited to the following:
  • Two types of members – Full and Non-full
  • Increase of Board size from 10 to 11 members in 2026
  • Annual General Meeting will be held annually in June
  • Board term moving from January 1 to December 31 to Annual General Meeting to Annual General Meeting
  • Extension of term for 2025 Board of Directors
  • Combining of several specific individual by-laws into one comprehensive operating by-law
And more.
