302 | GovDeals Canada | If you are like most municipalities, when it comes to surplus disposition, you push what you perceive to be the easy button. This is often at the expense of transparency and control. Lacking these essential elements leads to unnecessary questions and unwanted scrutiny.
Most municipalities we speak with assumed their surplus disposition process was compliant with their policy. What many failed to realize is that there were blind spots regarding visibility and accountability in their processes. The GovDeals solution ensures transparency while improving results. Do you know your blind spots? Our checklist will help you discover them!
GovDeals specializes in surplus disposition technology, partnering nationally with government agencies to sell "as is, where is" surplus assets, equipment, materials, and real estate in complete transparency. 281 | Holly Transportation Services Inc. | When an auxiliary unit is operated via a “Power Take Off” (PTO) arrangement from the transmission or by its’ own engine, there is a Provincial Tax that is recoverable. Most operators are very aware of the PTO tax refund, but view it as a ‘vague, small refund that is more trouble than it is worth’ to recover and therefore do not pursue it. Moreover, the calculations to recover this refund are complicated and the potential of provoking an audit by the Ontario Ministry of Finance is high.
Holly Transportation Services Inc. has eliminated these concerns offering a service that handles all the ‘red tape’ involved in the refund. PTO refunds are being recovered today for a large variety of vehicles. Your company may be one of many entitled to a refund.
There are basic qualifications for different vehicles. In the case of a diesel powered vehicle, it must be licensed and operate a PTO application. Gasoline refunds are available for licensed vehicles operating under a PTO application as well as on unlicensed vehicles and equipment. For this reason, Holly Transportation Services Inc. must assess refunds on a case by case basis and specializes in evaluating your equipment and maximizing your return.
Some organizations believe this refund is too small to pursue. We are pleased to report that we have proved otherwise and this refund has provided a significant increase to revenues for many firms. | HollyTransportation.jpg |
