| Amy Fanning | Treasurer & Director of Financial Management and Planning | Corporation of Norfolk County | Amy Fanning is the Treasurer and Director of Finance for Norfolk County, a single tier municipality located along the northern shores of Lake Erie. Amy holds an Honours Degree in Business Administration from Brock University and is a Chartered Professional Accountant. Amy started her career in the private sector working in Marketing for a couple large multinational organizations but ultimately driven by a passion for public service she returned home to Norfolk County and has proudly served her community for 15 years.
Throughout her tenure with Norfolk Amy has held a variety of positions including Budget Analyst, Financial Systems Coordinator, Deputy Treasurer and Treasurer. The largest project of Amy’s career so far was the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics GP in 2014/2015, she hopes to use that experience to move forward successfully with a new ERP implementation. One of the aspects of municipal finance she values most is the opportunity to gain insight into every area of County operations. This broad organizational perspective has reinforced the importance of collaboration across departments and divisions. She is passionate about fostering strong cross-functional relationships and working collaboratively to support Norfolk County’s long-term financial sustainability while helping ensure the community remains a great place to live, work, and thrive. | AmyFanning.png |
