This input will help the Ministry understand levels of interest, needs, readiness and potential next steps to support future expansion of the model.

Reg. 530/22 under MA and O. Reg. 529/22 under COTA to limit outgoing heads of council in designated strong mayor municipalities from proposing the municipal budget for the year immediately following a regular municipal election. Additionally, clarifies that lame duck provisions apply to HOC with strong mayor powers.
