On April 1,2017 the Assessment Review Board (ARB) of Ontario introduced new Rules of Practice and Procedure which are in effect for 2017. These rules introduce significant changes to how municipalities will participate in assessment appeals in the future. This webinar will address what next steps you need to do before the September 1, 2017 deadline.

  • Properties of Interest – how to determine, how to group, and how to let the Board know by the deadline of September 1st
  • Email Contacts – clarity on how, why and what you should do to set up email contacts for the Assessment Review Board contact listing
  • Summary Proceedings – what to do next, now that you have your Properties of Interest list, including: how to ensure the properties belong in that stream, how to move the properties before the commencement date, if required, how to determine if you’re missing any properties
  • General Stream – what’s coming next
