MFOA Announces the Appointment of a New Executive Director
At the 2018 MFOA Annual Conference, the Board of Directors, staff and members had the opportunity to acknowledge the significant contributions made by Dan Cowin, our current Executive Director. Dan has announced he will be retiring on October 31, 2018 after having served our association as Executive Director since 2003. It is with great thanks that the Board of Directors congratulates Dan on his retirement and for his expert leadership.
Over the last several months, the Board of Directors undertook a rigorous and professional search. We are pleased to announce the unanimous Board approval of Donna Herridge as the new Executive Director of MFOA beginning November 1, 2018. Donna is currently our Manager of Corporate Services and has a long involvement with the association having served as chair of the Professional Development Committee and as President of MFOA. She has extensive municipal experience at the City of Mississauga and has been a featured speaker for MFOA on many of our training courses. Donna is also a member of the Committee on Canadian Issues of the GFOA.
I hope you will join me and the rest of the MFOA Board and staff in welcoming Donna to her new position. The Board looks forward to the future growth of MFOA under her leadership.
